ESTABLISHMENT OF GREEN SCHOOL

“Inaugural Ceremony of Guryong Green School” was held June 15th at Guryong Middle School (located in Gaepo-dong, Gangnam-gu / the president Hwang Se-ha) in order to cope with climate change, one of the biggest problem which the mankind faces with.
Sponsored by Ministry of Environment–affiliated nationwide Green Start and organized by Daejayon, the inaugural ceremony started with the beginning of a signing ceremony. And they did signboard hanging ceremony and inaugural ceremony hereafter.

This inaugural ceremony of Guryong Middle School was broadcast live and made a determination to make Green School with whole school.
The environmental lecture for whole students was given by letting them know climate disaster and contents about environment of the earth through “Daejayon Report.”
The lecture could gather whole students’ attention, and was well received as it was enough to recognize the crisis of climate change and to have a will to act.
Furthermore, as additional events, panel exhibition on climate change, writing green promise message and palm signature were carried out.

Daejayon is going to hold Inaugural Ceremony of Green School not only at Guryong Middle School but also at Daecheong Middle School and Daemyeong Middle School.
These three schools are going to set the energy-saving target value and to carry out energy-saving movement of whole students.
In addition, we are going to do an environmental special lecture, an Green School education, and environmental theme program to train global environmental leaders.

Moreover, gifted class of Guryong Middle School will be organized as club “Little Daejayon”, conduct as environmental protector of Green School and take environmental educations from university student environmental teachers.
