Introduction of Green campus

Change the role of university as an organization that produces an environmentalist like Al Gore. (Albert Arnold Gore Jr.)

The university has to produce the hero in the era of climate change, not the main culprits of global warming

You may know well about Al Gore, who is the former vice president of the United States. He is an environmentalist and awarded Nobel peace prize in 2009. He became interested in environment because he met his mentor Roger Revelle, a climate expert, when he was a teenager.
Schools can become both a main culprit of climate change, emitting enormous amount of greenhouse gases, and an open place for education, producing a self-devoting environmentalist like Al Gore.
Unfortunately, universities in Korea act like main culprits of global warming rather than heroes in the era of climate change. It is very urgent to take actions with our acts and willingness.
Universities, the cradle of knowledge, should produce environmentalists like Al Gore who will work to cope with climate change crisis of the future and make effort to make Green Campus, rather than increasing investment in facilities.

It is the role of university to produce 100 environmentalists like Al Gore rather than make 100 solar power plants.
