Hello, this is team "Mermaids in the desert."

We attended the “Youth Environtalk” held by Sustainable Campus

and discussed the disadvantages of single use plastics

as well as the experiences of the attendants.

It started with a presentation on daily plastic usage and how are they processed.

Next, there was a discussion in which different individuals got to share their lifestyle choices.

The circle consisted of other DAEJAYON contributing teams,

members from Bouroj and Tadweer,

as well as individuals who are interested in making a change.

This in particular made the discussion diverse and more entertaining

as the producers and recyclers got to be a part to raise awareness.

This talk impacted some of our lifestyle choices

and inspired us to adopt some of the suggested ideas,

as we saw that taking such step and encouraging the ones around us

is a great way to start switching to a sustainable life.
