GREEN CAMPUS ACTIVITY

There is good news. 

That is a new start Seoul Association for Green Campus Initiative!

In the morning, the inaugural assembly was held, and 34 universities in Seoul and the city of Seoul signed a MOU and made an appointment for leading Green Campus movement.
And, in the afternoon, commemoration symposium was held.
About 40 members of KGCAUS participated in this symposium as special guests.

This symposium was joined with a director of Seoul research center, university officials and students.
Kim, Jun-Young, the president of Sungkyunkwan University, has become the first president of Seoul Association for Green Campus Initiative.
We hoped that he show his interest and support for university students’ activity.

In this symposium, we had a lot of valuable time.
Professor Yoon Soon-jin from graduate school of environment of Seoul National University,
professor Park Tae-yoon from graduate school of education of Yonsei University,
professor Kang Seong-jin from the Department of Economics of Korea University
and professor Kim Se-yong from the Department of Construction Engineering of Korea University
gave us lecture and presented about “Green Campus and the role of university”.

After a break, we had a panel discussion.
Many panels participated including Dr. Kim Min-gyeong of Seoul Institute, secretary general Yoon Seong-ung of Gyeonggi Association for Green Campus Initiative.
And secretary general of Daejayon attended as a representative of university students.

It was profitable time that we could listen to many things, the role and direction of Seoul Association for Green Campus Initiative, government opinion, university students’ opinion, KGCAUS and professors’ opinion.

Probably, Seoul Association for Green Campus Initiative will play a key role and improve interest and encourage participation for Green Campus.

Park Jeong-ju, president of KGCAUS, asked for presenting direction and activity of university students for Green Campus.

It’s because Green Campus movement cannot be made through representative of university, facilities and policy, so it should be made by university student.

We were so glad to be with you.
Through this picture, we will remember the historic moment that “leading role of Green Campus” gathered together.
We are Daejayon on the spot that we could see a bright future of Green Campus.
