The 68th UN Civil Society Conference was held at Salt Lake City, Utah, U.S.
It is an international conference
where the UN and 700 NGOs from 100 countries particiaptes.
This year they discussed on climate change, opportunities for youths,
new technologies and innovations, etc. under the theme of
the goal 11 of UN SDGs, “Sustainable Cities and Communities.”
DAEJAYON held a workshop on "Global Green Campus Network for Climate Change Action"
to establish network for Green Campus around the world
and to share the cases of response to climate change.
Many people participated the workshop, where the prepared seats were full and insufficient.
The workshop emphasized the importance of environmental activities of university students
through the presentation of "Climate Change Education," "A Sustainable University Model."
At the Q&A time, the participants made a line to question
which we had to finish in between due to the time limit.
Like this, most of the participants supported not only the workshop
but also the endeavor of DAEJAYON, who deals with the global warming with university students.
We look forward to the activities of DAEJAYON for the sustainable campus and society!
