Introduction of Green World

Hi there! It's Jayonie!

We brought a news about what DAEJAYON and university clubs did

on the 16th Energy Day which came back after a year.

Although it's a scorching hot summer day,

shall we go on an environmental trip together with DAEJAYON IGCAUS,

Shingu College "Nature Plus", Kwangwoon Univ. "SALT", and Kookmin Univ. "Tea Tree"

to practice energy conservation!

In the booth of DAEJAYON, there was a survey prepared by Big Wave!

Who's the owner of Green Campus?

In response to this question, the interests and policies of government agencies

and the practices of university students were the most voted!

On the 16th Energy Day, not only Seoul citizens but also many foreigners participated,

and they listened to the explanation of the Global Warming Panel by DAEJAYON!

Surely the Green Campus movement and energy conservation practices

are not a matter of one city, one country, but an issue that we all have to work together. :)

It is Shingu College "Nature Plus."

Nature Plus is a club doing various activities for climate refugees in Bangladesh.

The students also made and prepared an interesting spinning wheel game!

They told the story of climate refugees caused by climate change,

and encouraged to participated in enery conservation pratice and movement

to reducing greenhouse gas emission so that we all may help climate refugees together.

This is Kwangwoon University "SALT."

If we don't throw away but keep bags that gets discarded every day

like snack bags, ice cream bags, ramen bags for about a month,

it's gonna be an enormous amount!

 If you thoroughly wash snack bags, they can be upcycled into a pretty pouch!

You kill two birds with one stone by eating ramen and making your own pouch!

By reduing plastic waste, you can protect the environment and make your own pouch!

That's why many men and women of all ages had participated. :)

There was hands-on activities making pouch using natural fabric paint!

Let's practice using eco-pouch that can be used several times after washing

instead of plastic containers, disposable bags. :)

We gave out a cool slush to those who participated in the activities of each club

and got the stamps in their environmental passport.

We used eco-cups and rice straws which are biodegradable,

so we were able to protect our environment and blow off the heat. :)

We felt proud and happy despite of the hot weather, on Energy Day

with Green World activities of DAEJAYON IGCAUS! :)
