Little DAEJAYON environmental education was conducted at Jungma High School.
Today's class was about paper that we commonly use.
What was it about?
Do you use paper when you take notes?
Or do you use a digital device like an iPad?
It was predicted that as scientific technology develops,
the use of digital devices will increase and the use of paper will greatly reduce.
However, the use of paper has not decreased.
Why?
This is because paper has many advantages that digital media can not catch up.
1. It is excellent in preservation.
2. You can read it with your eyes. No other tool is needed.
3. High durability. Data is not lost at once unless a fire breaks out.
4. High security. In fact, many companies and countries use paper for classified documents.
What is the relationship between paper and environmental problems?
10L of water is consumed and 2.88g of greenhouse gases are generated
to make one sheet of A4 paper.
The use of fluorescent bleach harms the environment and health.
In the process of making paper, forest is destroyed resulting in large fires, droughts,
reduce in carbon dioxide absorption and accelerates climate change.
How can we overcome environmental damage caused by paper use?
Upcycling Eco Class was conducted based on today's theoretical education.
Scrap paper note made of scrap papers,
bookmark made of magazines and flyers,
bracelets made of movie posters!
By recycling paper in various ways,
let's protect the environment starting from little DAEJAYON!
