PRODUCING LITTLE DAEJAYON

A blue sky and a bright sunlight!

Summer is starting to set in!

We started the first week of June

with Inchang Middle School students.

What did we do today

with Inchang Little Daejayon?!

Let's look into it together!

The theme of today's environmental class is

An Inconvenient Truth of Smart Phone.

The smart phones become essential to our life.

However, do you know that the civil war happened in Congo

and gorillas lost their land

due to the smart phones that we use thoughtlessly.

In order to get 'coltan', which is necessary to make the smart phones,

people have destroyed the habitat of gorillas

where the coltan is buried.

Through the class,

the students also understood the serious problem of forest destruction

and thought of the way to resolve it.

The effect of a tree,

and Little Daejayon's action list to save the tree

to use one-sided paper

to use recycled paper

to use a tumbler

We should not forget that we can save the Earth and environment

through our small action and resolution.

After the environmental class,

the experience activity followed.

Today we made eco mosquito repellent!

A number of bugs such as mosquitos become active in summer,

so we use the mosquito repellent more frequently.

Today, we made the eco mosquito repellent which is not harmful to nature and body!

It is very easy to make it.

First, put menthol to purified water.

Then, heat it and cool it down.

Lastly, put ethanol and lavender essential oil and mix it.

Then the eco mosquito repellent is made!

All Inchang Little Daejayon students were immersed in making it. :D

Tada, finish~!

Of course, the students' mind thinking of environment became bigger

while making the eco mosquito repellent.

All students participated to the class actively

and did a good job!
