PRODUCING LITTLE DAEJAYON

Today’s class of Heungin Elementary School was on “climate refugees.” 

Have you ever heard about climate refugees? It might be unfamiliar.
Climate refugees are caused by the sea level rise due to global warming.

The students learned the international attitude toward climate refugees and their condition.

Especially climate refugees are many in the poor countries like Bangladesh and Africa. It hurts our heart.
The more pitiful thing is that they are not recognized as refugees.

Environmental refugees are globally up to 30 million people.
It is considerable numbers, comparing to the 27 million typical refugees.
But there are few actions to help climate refugees.
So! Daejayon set up the goal of “2012 help climate refugees.”
Daejayon takes the initiative in helping climate refugees through various activities such as Green Shop and panel exhibition that informing climate refugees.

We played ‘Bingo game’ after the class.

First we draw bingo board. Then freely write down the names of endangered species into the 50 blanks. The team who makes 5 bingos wins the game!

The winner was given eco-friendly soap and eco- friendly lip balm that made by Daejayon.
She looked really pleased, right?
It is not just a game. Reminding the names of endangered species, we Little Daejayon should protect them not to disappear from the Earth.
