PRODUCING LITTLE DAEJAYON

Daecheong Middle School located in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul was designated as Green School through an MOU with Daejayon in 2010.
And the school has an environmental class with Daejayon. 

Before getting environmental class, students must know that “why am I learning this?”
If students learn before that why we are saving energy, protecting environment and why we have to separate trashes, they will feel it’s real and put into practice.

Students learned about it through “Daejayon Report_the Reason why we protect the Earth” made by university student environmentalists of Daejayon.
The report showed the condition of the Earth sharply and correctly with touching video and music.

Over the last 100 years, Earth’s average temperature has risen by 0.74 C˚ [1.33 °F].
If the temperature keeps rising, Himalayan glaciers will be lost by 2040s and Greenland ice sheet may melt by 2050s.
And the Amazon rainforest will transform into a patchwork of arid Savanna before the end of the 21st century.
As one-degree of the Earth’s average temperature rises, our future become dark and we have no dream. If we continue to use energy imprudently without saving, these predictions will become reality.
We have to do practice hard to protect environment for our future and that’s why we learn environment.

After the class, we made eco-friendly air freshener.
Eco-friendly air freshener has no harmful synthetic fragrance (because it is made with safe and natural materials), so it is good for atmospheric environment.
When we use eco-friendly air freshener, it makes effects of deodorizing, sterilizing and air cleaning.

The materials of eco-friendly air freshener are distilled water, ethanol, lemongrass and cyprus citronella.

Students got knowledge and made eco-friendly air freshener!
Maybe Daecheong Middle School will be full of fragrance of lemon.
