Hi, we are team Mermaids in the desert!

Last Saturday, we visited Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Center (SZDLC).

SZDLC is an important educational facility

that combines knowledge and learning through interactive exhibits,

multimedia and visual materials.

The center consists of five sections:

1. Sheikh Zayed Tribute Hall

2. Abu Dhabi's Desert over Time

3. Abu Dhabi's Living World

4. People of the Desert

5. Looking to the Future

The purpose of the visit was to investigate and get a solid background

about the UAE biodiversity specially in the desert biome.

We took a journey through time as stories and movies took us to the past,

present and future of the UAE, to reconsider the relationship between human and the environment

and get encouraged to approach a sustainable lifestyle.

The place was very interactive and the information earned was impressive. 

We spent more than 3 hours and we couldn’t get enough.

It’s really interesting to see that much of history and achievements.

Through the visits we now have a more solid background

about our environment and biodiversity conservation.

We will take more effort for the environmental conservation and sustainability in UAE.
