GREEN CAMPUS ACTIVITY

The fourth Green Campus Global Camp was held.
At this camp, many campus environmental clubs joined together.

Participants are Green Snow from Sookmyung Women’s University, Green Planet from Kyunghee University, Hannuri from Kyunghee University and Daejayon.

They presented their activities with confidence.

It makes the heart beat because this is real global green leaders’ presentation!

University clearly needs environmental activity.
According to the research of Korea Energy Management Corporation, university takes the top second following apartment in 2010 industrial classification energy consuming. It’s more than department stores’ energy consuming and commercial buildings’.
In addition, energy consuming rate in university shows 107% increase from 2000 to 2009. It means that the energy consuming of university increases 11.9% every year and it is five times of the whole energy consuming rate of increase in Korea.
There are 400 universities in Korea, so one of five universities is the energy consuming organization. Therefore, environmental activities in university are necessary.

Today’s camp with campus environmental clubs carried out in the same purpose.
University and its students’ role are very important but there is no network linking students each other!

Through this camp, we all could share better cases of environmental activity and seek what we can cooperate.

If you are the real green leader, you may have your handkerchief!
When you wash your hands, use a handkerchief!

At the time of recreation which is the best of the camp, “Imitate me” corner makes everyone laugh his or her head off.

After a recreation, we carried out presentation and discussion about environment in serious atmosphere.

“Informative and great fun!” The expression is right in this camp!

Is there no one who drowses?
I’m sorry that it’s quite dark, but everyone’s eyes were shining like this o_o+

From now on, through this time we hope to carry out joint activities by constructing a network together with Daejayon, Han-nuri of Kyunghee University, Green Snow, and GP.
