GREEN CAMPUS ACTIVITY

HIMUN, HUFS International Model United Nations, was held to wish successful hosting of 2012 WCC in Jeju and promote international cooperation for the conservation of biological diversity. Daejayon also took part in as a supportive organization.

Park Jeong-ju, a Daejayon member attended as a IUCN president and Daejayon singing university student environmentalists Green+ attended as well.

At this conference, from university students to public figures including ambassadors and 2012 WCC organizer participated in. 

Park Cheol, the president of HUFS [Hankuk University of Foreign Studies], gave an opening address. 

Lee Hong-gu, the chairman of the 2012 WCC organization committee, also gave an encouragement message.

The minister of environment and Seoul city mayor also joined.

After it, there started the discussion on promoting international cooperation for the conservation of biological diversity.

Park Jeong-ju was giving a message on behalf of the president of IUCN. He played the important role in settling the agenda and suggesting ways to go in the future.

During this time, foreign students were in Korea due to the Daejayon environmental forum

so they joined the HIMUN as well. We wish this movement become bigger and greater.
