My personal ambition is to make Daejayon known not only in my country Slovakia, which is located in the heart of Europe, but also in the whole Central European region. I wish Daejayon and you all a lot of excellent ideas as well as strong determination in targeting your great effort at “greening” our living environment and at healing our magnificent Mother Nature together with this world,” he said.

Jang Byung-jib, the president of Chungbuk Association for Green Campus Initiative also delivered a message. He said “for the past 100 years, Korea’s average temperature has increased by 1.5℃ [2.7°F] which is more than twice the global average of 0.74℃ [1.33°F], and winter is shortened by a month. The conservation of nature and the improvement of environments are no longer the problems to solve at the state level, but have become globally crucial issues for the survival of human beings. So, now the active role of universities are required together with national policies and companies’ commitment.”

Through the Eco-League, university students could share the good ways of preserving environment and cheer each other.
Daejayon got many presentations through on-line and 11 teams went to final, the Eco-League. Let’s find out each campus’ cases.

1. Turn off the light not in use
2. Do recycling
3. Do not eat meat on Friday
4. One person plant ten trees

Do you know one of the important things in league? It is the supporters’ cheering!
They are cheering up the Nature+ from Shingu University.

Through flee market, they raise the money and use it for the poor. Also, they are making a note with used papers and holding an environmental film festival.
