Introduction of Green World

It is about [the 2nd seminar of forestry social education support project] held by department of forest sciences of Seoul National University.

After the Daejayon Report and presentation of professors, we felt the forest.

The forests provide many things to human and ecosystem.

First, they provide natural resources,

such as lumber for architecture,

pulp for paper,

and pasture for livestock.

Second, they provide ecological service,

such as absorbing and storing CO2, emitting oxygen,

offering habitat of living organisms,

and sustaining biological diverse.

Third, they provide cultural and historical value.

They protect our history, past and culture as 'Tears of Amazon' showed.

Forth, they provide a beautiful landscape.

There's nothing more beautiful and magnificient than forest.

The forests make our mind green and calm. :)

It was a recovered mountain after Japanese colonial era.

Seedling were planted and watered.

Wow, these trees grew up at much attention and endeavor!

The forest recovery of South Korea was so successful that it is also presented overseas.

How great! :D

We will also learn more and endeavor to pass down the splendid forests!

We looked around the Forest Science Museum.

The forests make our mind and even the sky green and pure!

It is our mission to protect the forests and cool down the global warming.

Daejayon students are growing to environmental leaders

with education and practices!

If we lose the nature,

we lose everything.

Let's protect the future of forestry all together!

One person averagely consumes about 153kg of paper a year in South Korea.

When we make paper using the used paper than trees, we can save 30~50% of energy consumption,

and prevent 95% of air pollution caused by paper manufacture.

When we gather the newspaper separately, we can make it into other newspaper again.

When consumers hold off purchases of products devastating forestry

and voice their opinions to the company,

the production of eco-friendly products will be increased.
