Introduction of Green World

Where do you throw away used batteries and fluorescent lights?
Actually it is hard to find the place to throw away.
Everyone has the experience at least once.
It is also difficult to find the used clothing bin to throw old clothes away.
Therefore, Chungang University environmental club “Green Square” with Daejayon made “Green Map” for residents of Sangdo-dong, Seoul. 

Green Square students themselves went around Sangdo-dong and searched location of bins for used clothes, batteries and fluorescent lights. And Daejayon made the map to show the location of bins.

If used batteries and fluorescent lights were not collected separately, heavy metals like mercury and lead can leak from them. And it is never able to make positive effects on the environment.

So Green Square let citizens know these effects and explained the places of bins.

Also Green Square did a general knowledge quiz games on recycling of used batteries and fluorescent lights.

Citizens stopped by and complimented on our activities.

If you do not know where the bins are, ask to near public office, then they will let you know.
It is necessary to have habit of separating garbage collection, isn’t it?
Until now, it was spot of “Follow Me into Green Way Campaign” with Chungang University environmental club “Green Square” and Daejayon.
