Introduction of Green World

Daejayon visited Berlin city cleaning service BSR which is responsible for the Berlin environment and sanitation. After explaining Daejayon briefly to officials, we took an education and cautions for safety about BSR the place where we were going to visit. 

BSR has forged an independent system designed to never emit environmental pollutants.
And we toured around, wearing a red safety helmet as you see below pictures.

The first place where we stopped was a waste freight station which collects garbage from the whole Berlin. We could see closely a huge freight station and the process of moving garbage to an incinerator.
A local journalist whom we met during this visit asked us to allow writing an article about Daejayon and took a picture.
After that, we visited a control center of the incinerator plant and saw the process that garbage was getting incinerated.
Garbage was burnt in high temperature over 1,000°C, so we could watch it only through the monitor.
And the heat created during the incineration is re-used in making energy.
It makes sure itself as an eco-friendly waste disposal site.
After incinerated, the rest is classified.
Recyclable materials like iron or aluminum produced during the process are sold again.
 
As an eco-friendly waste disposal site, BSR doesn’t pollute the environment and even create energy.
Seeing its facility and its technology and watching all the process, green leaders of Although we had thought waste disposal sites always pollute the environment, but through this visit, we learned that wastes can be re-used as resources and energy. This visitation gave us precious teachings.
