Introduction of Green World

August 5th 2011, the day after “Green Campus Environmental Forum” was successfully done in Technische Universitat Raum, Daejayon visited PIK (Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research), being invited by Potsdam Climate Change Center, which is a world-famous institute. 

Can you guess the reason why it’s famous?
That’s because it’s the very laboratory where Einstein stayed to study his works.

It has a beautiful appearance, too, isn’t it?

It is composed of many brilliant minds of countries and its theses and results have gained recognition all over the world.

Daejayon visited a meteorological observatory. It isn’t affected by earthquakes thanks to being located upon a sound footing. Its weather observation data are sent to the weather centre.

As an eco-friendly building, it has a device observing the movement of the sun in its basement.

An officer said that Potsdam University is also planning Green Campus and they wanted to carry out activities in cooperation with Daejayon.

Wondered which activities are able to carry out.

Daejayon could learn much environmental information in PIK.
