Online environmental education was conducted
before the starting the activities of the environmental leaders
who will lead the environment conservation activities in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul!
The students who participated in the education
are all selected as environmental leaders from seven schools.
Kangsin Middle School, Shinnam Middle School, Yangkang Middle School,
Yangcheon Middle School, Kangseo Elementary School, Gangwol Elementary School,
and Sineun Elementary School located in Yangcheon-gu!
We conducted environmental education under the theme
"Little DAEJAYON Report: The Voice of Future Generations Moves the World."
Everyone, you might have all heard about "global warning" and "climate change."
But now, it is described as "global heating" and "climate crisis."
Due to global heating, climate disasters are occurring.
Typhoons, floods, droughts, desertification, fine dust, sea level rise, food shortages,
infectious disease, ecosystem destruction and methane hydrate are the examples.
Then how hot has the earth gotten?
The Earth has risen 1.2 degrees since the pre-industrial levels.
But according to a report released by the IPCC,
we need to maintain the global temperature rise below 1.5 degrees Celsius.
When the global temperature rises above 2 degrees Celsius,
the global temperature will rise to at least 6 degrees Celsius
no matter how much carbon dioxide emissions are reduced to zero.
We might think "Can our little actions change the world?"
But the power of our youth is stronger than we think!
Greta Thunberg said,
"No one is too small to make a difference."
We support the activities of the environmental leaders, who participated in this education,
to save the earth and protect the environment!
