We had Green School Environmental Education
with Little DAEJAYON students in Munhyeon Middle School!
In the first class,
students learned how paper is damaging forests and what we should do to reduce the damage.
Everyone was surprised that the forest was being destroyed
through chocolate and cell phones, besides paper!
The second class was practicing upcycling.
We made pouches with a milk carton.
Everyone lost track of time and concentrated on making the pouch.
All the students well made it!
The third class was on climate refugees.
Students looked on the reality of climate refugees
from Bangladesh and Africa caused by environmental destruction.
South Korea, which ranked fourth in carbon dioxide emissions per person in 2018,
is responsible for 0.9% of all climate refugees when calculating greenhouse gas emissions.
Munhyeon Middle School Little DAEJAYON students
sympathized with the painful lives of the climate refugee children of the same age,
and pledged to protect the environment for climate refugees.
We hope Munhyeon Middle School Little DAEJAYON students
will be fostered as global environment leaders who practice the love of humanity
for the lives of climate refugees and animals living on Earth.
