Today environmental class under the subject

"Coral Reef, the underwarer treasure depot"

was held in Seonggok Middle School!

You might think, why are they learning about coral reefs.

Many sea creatures live in coral reefs!

And the sea creatures become delicious and nutritious food

for many people all over the world.

Also on the shores of coral reef communities,

a nice white sandy beach is built with coral reef powder :)

Many tourists visit the white beach and gives tourist income to the local residents
Also it protects the coast from erosion and typhoons.

It is not to much to say that the coral reefs are the ocean's treasure !

However, coral reefs are disappearing due to people's indiscriminate collection and climate change

Through today's class the students learned about the relationship between

climate change and coral reefs and the way to protect them

For experience, we made scandiamos frame resembling coral reefs

Scandimos absorbs the moisture in the air itself

and when the dumidity is less than 40 percent, it drys and dies.

But, if you the humidity raises they survive again! Amazing!

We can call it a natural hygrometer!
