PRODUCING LITTLE DAEJAYON

Happy New Year 2018!! :)

A special environment class was waiting for us.

Environmental class with new friends at Songpa-gu community service center!

Let's GO GO !!

First, we took time to introduce Daejayon to our new friends.

Many students showed explosive responses to Global NGO Daejayon.

Green School, Green Campus, Green World

We introduced the activities of Daejayon and our purpose,

also asked for more interest and to take part in our activities :)

Next was the environmental class,

the subject was "Forests disappearing by paper".

Did you know that a tremendous amount of paper is used per day.?

The average amount of paper per person in Korea is 183.8kg.

Can't imagine how much this is?

When changed to height, it is about 3m 93cm! Amazing isn't it?

The tremendous amount of consumption of paper is the cause of destruction of forests in Indonesia.

We should conserve paper! for the environment :-)

Also, the white papers we use, contain chemicals called fluorescent whitening agent,

harmful to humans.

White is not always clean.

Then is there a paper, harmless and eco-friendly?

Yes! It's recycled paper.

We should use recycled paper for our health and the health of the environment.

Also, never forget to not use too much paper!!

Now, we've learned about environmental theories,

we should protect the environment with actions, shouldn't we?

Today, we made bookmarks by recycling waste magazines and posters.

Shall we make it together?

It's really easy.

First, pick a magazine or poster and fold it to the part you like.

fix it with glue

punch a hole and attach it with a string, then it's finished!

After finishing the bookmark,

we make eco-friendly bracelets with the leftover posters.

If your struggling, get the help of Daejayon teachers :-)

Also, through campaigns of reusable paper, 

students were amazed how reusable paper turns into a beautiful note.

Students made resolutions to be 'Little Daejayon' who thinks about the environment,

once rediscovering about the recycled papers that they thought it was waste

and experiencing that the Earth was hurt by paper waste.

It was proud to see that students heart and mind changed about the environment.

It was good to participate in the environmental class with students and people of songpa-gu community sevice center!
