PRODUCING LITTLE DAEJAYON

It seems like just yesterday that the summer vacation started,

but the second semester already began!

We were so happy to meet Inchang Little Daejayon students :)

Today, we had a special field trip with Little Daejayon students.

The destination was Mapo Resource Recovery Facility, near from Inchang Middle School.

The students were excited with a field trip~

Before the field trip,

the students learned about role of Mapo Resource Recovery Facility  with the introduction video

and the detailed process of resource recovery.

What does Mapo Resource Recovery Facility do?

1) to extend an use period of landfill by incineration treatment before landfill of waste

2) to produce electricity from heat which occurs by heating the waste at a high temperature

3) to supply district heating by utilizing high pressure steam

Let’s take a closer look together!

The students also visited incinerator and the place where the waste is stored at first.

Besides, they went to a control room-the highlight of Mapo Resource Recovery Facility- where disposing the waste directly.

“Wow! So much waste!!”

Lastly the students appreciated the artwork made of waste. :)

Today, Inchang Little Daejayon visited Mapo Resource Recovery Facility,

and realized the huge amount of waste we throw away

and the eco-friendly work of resource recovery facility.

Also they made a resolution

to save resource

and become a great Little Daejayon

who takes charge of the environment in future!
