PRODUCING LITTLE DAEJAYON

Today is athletics competition of Daemyoung Middle School.
We heard that Little Daejayon members prepared performance for environmental refugee.

At every athletics competition in every year, they have been showing a meaningful environmental performance to teachers and students for raising an interest on environment.
Specially, in this year, they did ‘Earth Walk’ performance to lead interests for environmental refugee. And they delivered a message ‘please remember climate refugee’ to audiences.

Q: What is the Earth Walk performance?

A: According to the report of Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) and Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in June 2011, there are forty-two million environmental refugees in the world in 2010, and it is expected that there will be a billion environmental refugees by 2050. But people’s concern for environmental matter is low yet.
So an International environmental NGO ‘Daejayon’ is going to declare ‘Earth Walk’ in international forum this November. ‘Earth Walk’ is the global walking project to help worldwide environmental refugees who lost their habitat because of global warming and climate change.

Little Daejayon is entering in one line into ground!
When members enter, it’s raining at the same time.

They stand in a round line with 25 flags of all nations, and shouted the slogans “Earth Walk, STOP CO2” in the center.

Two students’ introduced performance and music made performance done in higher quality.

The performance is planned to make circle, then open the rolled flags in the same time.

They unrolled flags in correct timing as had practiced.
