ESTABLISHMENT OF GREEN SCHOOL

 

Do you see the members wearing fresh yellow-green shirts?
They are the green leaders dispatched to Indonesia in order to conduct Daejayon’s activities in 2012 winter.
Today, let us depart to Jakarta City Corporation with green leaders who have carried out activities in Indonesia. The purpose why Deajayon, today, visit Jakarta City Corporation is to discuss how to construct “Green School.”
We had already introduced Daejayon during the last visit in 2011, so Jakarta City Corporation has already known about Daejayon. 

 

 

In today’s seminar, a professor of Universitas Indonesia, one of National University of Jakarta in Indonesia, president of high school and some officers participated.

 

 

In addition, officers of department of foreign cooperation and officers of the Ministry of Education participated in “Daejayon’s Green School Seminar” as well.

 

 

The seminar was held by Mr.Taufik, the director of the department of Education, who supervise every elementary, middle, high school in Indonesia, instead of the Mayor of Jakarta.

 

 

We Daejayon explained briefly Daejayon’s scale, partnership, purpose, and activities through Daejayon introduction video.

 

 

Moreover, we notified the reason “why” we are doing these activities, and “how” we are doing them, our efforts.

 

 

Especially, we suggested that Jakarta City Corporation to cooperate with environmental activities, presenting the “Daejayon Report” explaining purpose of Daejayon’s activities in detail.

 

 

And, we suggested Jakarta City Corporation in Indonesia to construct “Green School” at elementary, middle, and high schools in Indonesia. After that, we took a time for question and answer about “Green School” with many participants of the seminar.

After all the seminar was over, Daejayon gave presents (eco-friendly soaps and air fresher) to Jakarta City Corporation.

 

 

And we received a memorial tablet from Jakarta City Corporation.

Through this seminar, we notified the importance of “Green School Activity.”
The youth is the very age which will face with a headwind of environmental disasters in the future.
So, from elementary, middle, and high school, it is very important to educate the environment and to conduct many practices.

 

 

Through this seminar, many officers of City Hall became to have interests in Daejayon’s activities.

 

 

And we made an appointment to discuss practical ways to do it later. Took a picture with students of Indonesia.

 

 

And with officers who participated, as well.
Lastly, we took a picture of all the participants.
Now, Daejayon and Jakarta City Corporation agreed with us and promised to sign up MOU.
We expected the activities of Green School in Indonesia to carry out soon.
Moreover, each officer from elementary • middle • high school, and University who participated in this seminar requested Green School and Green Campus detailed program.
“Green Steps”, spreading in Indonesia.
In the site of constructing “Green School”, we are Daejayon.
