GREEN CAMPUS NETWORK

What is DAEJAYON IGCAUS?

It is the abbreciation of Internatioal Green Campus Association for University Students,

which stands for an environment club network of university students

for GREEN CAMPUS of universities around the world.

Dongguk Univ. ECOIST, Gwangyun Univ. SALT, Kookmin Univ. Tea Tree,

and Dong Yang Mirae Univ. AECOZ have prepared

various environmental campaigns and hands-on activities!

Kwangyun University "SALT", had panel explaination to prevent wasted energy on campus

and gave out temperature changing stickers.

When the temperature drops below 20°C, the warning light is likely to turn red.

To prevent the warning light from switching on,

maintaining the proper indoor temperature in summer is essential.

Dong Yang Mirae University "AECOZ" panel explaination was on

the seriousness of plastic use and ways to reduce plastic usage.

Those who solved the quiz got a cute plastic free badge. :)

Real Milk Pouch making activities took place inside,

which had beed prepared by students of DAEJAYON. :)

Since many students came, they were very busy!

The Launching Ceremony has begun with the welcomeing speech

of the Director of Korea University Safety Team,

and the opening address of the President of DAEJAYON.

Followed was the introduction of DAEJAYON IGCAUS_seoul and the activities carried out,

and presentation on the activities that will be carried out in the future.

The student who did not leave any leftover for lunch on this day

was able to get a meat post-it prepared by Dongguk University "ECOIST!"

 After the lunch break, Jung Hye-Jin, the professor of Seoul National University

and Ju Si-Hu, the professor of Sungkyul University gave a special lecture!

The well-informed lectures were given under the themes of

"1.5°C and Green Campus" and "Activity for Green Campus."

Through the lectures of the two professors

who are working enthusiastically at their universities for Green Campus,

we had time to think how IGCAUS_seoul students should work in the future.

There were various opinions such as

"Create a Green Campus organization where professors,

faculty, and students are organized together,"

"Improve students' interest in the environment with unique and creative design."

Students had the time to choose and award the most realistic ideas

they would like to implement on each campus by voting. :)

Students who participated in the launch ceremony of DAEJAYON IGCAUS_seoul today

were awarded a certificate of participation of the Green Campus Academy.

Mrs. Lee Hee Gyung, President of DAEJAYON,

gave the certificate of paricipation to the team leaders. :)

 We are looking foward to the activities that will be proceeded at each university.

Students have enhanced their environmental abilities through various experiences

such as special lectures, discussions and idea booth activities today!

will make efforts together for the Green Campus around the world! :)
