Environmental Clubs

Our team have decided to visit one of the most sustainable schools in the UAE

which is Al Shohub Private School.

It’s an all girls school which is why we weren’t allowed to film any of the girls,

but we tried our best to get pictures of the work done there.

The school has done a lot on campus like banning single use plastics

from plastic bottles to banning plastic wrapping paper.

Our audience were 9th and 10th graders and 70 students were part of our workshop.

First, we introduced our campaign and our work.

We then talked to them about the different activities, funds

and campaigns the UAE is providing to help save the biodiversity of the country.

We then showed them a video that grabbed their attention

about how people are responsible of what’s happening to the environment.

We had a total of 10 teams

and asked them to list some of the sustainable things they do in school

and another list of what they can do to become even more sustainable.

We then had three posters that we designed before visiting the school.

We explained to the girls different ways they could be sustainable.

We also showed them the different ecosystems we have in the UAE.

At the end, we designed a 10 question survey

to make sure we got our ideas and thoughts across.

We also had to make sure they enjoyed our workshops.
