Hello, we are team Eco Fighters.

In cooperation with RAK Customs Department,

an educative session about food waste in Ramadan was held

to raise awareness about excessive food consumption and food waste.

One of our team members started the presentation by displaying pictures

that demonstrate the unnecessary over-consumption of food during Ramadan.

The quality of a recyclable material gets degraded when it's contaminated by food waste.

Due to this, we emphasized the importance of conscious recycling,

while properly segregating recyclable materials from food waste,

in order to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills.

These flyers were printed on recycled paper taken from the waste-land.

These flyers included brief information about the impact of food waste

on the three pillars of economic, social, and environmental sustainability.

It also included a few suggestions on how we can become conscious consumers,

how to consume food per needed, and how to properly manage any surplus food.
