11 SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND COMMUNITIES

12 RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION

Last March 22nd, our team went to the Buk-Seoul Museum of Art.

It was an exhibition that expressed the earth's ecosystem and human life in the language of art

which was damaged under the capitalist system.

The endless pursuit of profit in the capitalist system and

short-sighted growth groundism are creating cracks in the earth's ecosystem,

threatening the survival of the majority of the earth's species, including humans.

The air and water we drink have already been polluted with fine particles,

and abnormal temperatures have become routine.

Signs of these disasters testify that the Earth's self-regulation capacity has reached its limit.

Man's formidable technology and globalization have made

the scale of disasters transcend the country and the continent.

The possibility of a disaster growing beyond our perception and control is already here.

Now that we discuss the advent of a new geological era

with ecological changes that mankind has brought to the earth,

we are asking us through this exhibition how to accept the disasters of this era

and what to do to increase the viability of all living things.

The 2019 Seoul Focus was designed to explore ecological issues

and their underlying consumption culture and capitalism,

starting with the garbage problem that emerged last year.

It is said that the exhibition title "Nothing Twice" was taken from a passage

from the poem "No Twice" by Polish poet Vishua Szymborska!

Every night, stars with different twinkling colors in the dark

ask what is the value and meaning of disappearing beings.

Recognizing and reconsidering the finite and unique nature of life

will be the basis for restoring the injured global ecosystem:)

Through this exhibition, we were able to face up to the disaster of the times

and have a chance to think about the possibility of peaceful coexistence

between the earth and mankind.

We will become more passionate environmental club!!:)
