GREEN CAMPUS ACTIVITY

At Hanyang University, 2011 GyeongGi Green Global Forum was held hosted by Gyeonggi-do and GyeongGi-do Association for Green Campus Initiative and supported by Ministry of Environment.

This forum focused on producing green leaders who will lead Low Carbon Green Society and finding practical model to reduce greenhouse gas by building Green Campus.

The subject was “the responsibility of university to make Low Carbon Green Society and Green Campus accompanying local society.”

Gyeonggi-do launched GyeongGi-do Association for Green Campus Initiative with 40 universities in

Gyeonggi-do on March, 2010 and now it has 44 universities out of 84 in Gyeonggi-do to make cope with climate change. Also, through this, the organization has done various programs to reduce greenhouse gas and save energy of each university.

This forum focused on these successful cases.
