GREEN CAMPUS ACTIVITY

During the year of 2013,
DAEJAYON has supported the campus environmental clubs’ campaign.

One of them is Campus Lights Off Campaign of G.A.Green!

They planned this project by having an idea of “let us not take actions with words but with real actions.”
And also in order to promote the environmental movement of university students.

Yonsei University is already having Automatic Lighting Control System - automated controls that make adjustments based on conditions such as occupancy or daylight availability - So they decide to carry out their activity in all of universities in Seoul with the name of “Equus’ Campus Lights Off Campaign in Seoul!”
* Equus means a horse, and in Korea, the ‘word’ and ‘horse’ is same pronunciation. So they name it “Equus” because they are wearing a horse mask.

They were surprised to see the light is on in empty room.

He turned off and put the sticker saying “please turn off when you go out.”

From Hong-Ik University,

Hankuk University of Foreign Studies,

Sangmyung University and so on.

They visited nine universities including Chung-ang University, University of Seoul, Kyung Hee University and carried out “Campus Lights Off Campaign.”
And as a result, the 172.8kw energy could be saved in total.
This figure is the same as the energy use of 1,000 computers during an hour!
Truly, they made a great contribution to save energy!

And also students made 'Campus Lights Off' UCC.

Students received the 600 people’s hands through signature-seeking campaign in 8 universities.

And showed the dance “GO! Green Campus!,” it’s so easy enough to follow.

The performance let us know that
The air conditioner’s temperature should be 26 degrees C, we have to use appliances that have good energy consumption efficiency, turn off the multiple-tap and the lights in empty room.

Lastly, G.A.Green held a report session.

G.A.Green worked so hard during 2013, so they received the award from Korea Energy Management Corporation.

With the hope of helping others, G.A.Green has carried out an environmental campaign.
