Where do secondhand clothes, that are given away because it does not fit or is out of fashion, end up? It is said that 90 percent of secondhand clothes in South Korea is exported abroad. These exported secondhand clothes head to developing countries. As there are no facilities to discard secondhand clothes, the clothes are abandoned on streets, burned, and thrown into the sea, causing environmental pollution. |
